Call for Papers for the ICTPI 2015 Conference

Invitation to present papers

The ICTPI Conference comes to the UK for the first time in 2015. It will take place at The Open University, Milton Keynes, UK, on June 17th to 19th, on the topic of “ICT and Science in a Complex World”.  The ICTPI conferences aim to bring together leading representatives of academic, business, and government sectors worldwide to present and discuss current and future issues of critical importance for using science and technology to foster regional economic development and shared prosperity at home and abroad. Multidisciplinary perspectives are encouraged to provide state-of-the-art and useful knowledge to decision makers in both the private and public sectors – including informed and effective education, business, and government policies and strategies for the global, knowledge economy.

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit papers relevant to any of the main themes of the Conference: Smart Cities, New Economy, Data Security and Education Futures or linking between the themes. We are particularly interested to receive submissions that relate a theme to issues in either energy or global systems science.

Paper selection will be based upon submission of an extended abstract of at least 500 words, which should be typed double-spaced in English. The extended abstracts should clearly state the objectives, methodology, results and conclusions of the work with supporting main references (using the Vancouver system). They also must include, title, author name(s), e-mail address for correspondence, affiliation(s), main theme addressed, and keywords. Please ensure that the abstract is representative of the research work to be submitted for presentation during the Conference.

Papers submitted will be eligible for inclusion in a special issue of Technological Forecasting and Social Change.

Prospective authors should use the template provided here and return it as an attachment to ICTPI 15 Abstract submission or by sending an email to ictpi15 with the subject Abstract submission.

Deadlines: Abstracts by 16th March 2015 (Extended).

Further enquiries should be sent to ICTPI 15 Enquiries.
